Erik is a good customer who has been building this 1950 Styleline Deluxe for about a year. He hooked up with Hill’s to handle the sheet metal work for the driveline tunnel, upper bar covers for the rear and the trunk floor/bridge cover for the airbag system.
We also convinced him to upgrade to the AccuAir e-Level system so that he can cruise in comfort and always maintain his desired ride height.
As most projects go, we had a little scope creep. We ended up Tig welding his new lower quarter patch panels and making new beltline corners to replace some badly rusted pieces. Then we modified his beltline trim. Erik had some cherry Pontiac “shark fin” trim for the car, but the were for a four door and so they had a weird curve that wouldn’t let them line up. Curt sliced and diced and tig welded the piece back together and it looks and works great now!
